Halloween in the USA

Halloween has origins in the ancient celticfestival known as Samhain which is derived from Old Irish and means "summer's end". The term Halloween is derived from All Hallow's Eve.
Nowadays, it's celebrated on October 31st and people start to decorate their houses with carved pumpkins weeks before.

Everybody get costumes: monsters, witches, skeletons, ghosts, devils...
Children do trick-or-treating, they go with their costumes from house to house asking for treats like candy and money, with the question, "Trick or treat"?
The most popular food in Hallowen is Candycorn and caramel apples, but people also cook brownies, cakes, cookies...

Milford High School Sports

When I arrived at this high school, I was surprised because of the amount of people that practise sports. There is a lot of options here: soccer, field hockey, american football, swimming, cheerleading, basketball, softball...

This High School has a swimming pool with stands and a springboard. It also has a soccer, american football and hockey fields. People can practise and play the games there.

One of the most important teams here is Milford Hawks, and they play american football. This sport started in 1840 in the USA, and the objective of the game is to score points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone.

During the american football game, cheerleaders cheer the players.
